Early puberty and early menstruation

Did you know that a child who has early onset of menstruation has an increased risk of obesity in adult life ? And that most girls only grow about 5-6 cm taller after the first menstrual period , if nothing is done.

Height in adulthood is determined by growth patterns height at the onset of puberty, as well as the pattern of growth during puberty. It is possible to predict final adult height in childhood with reasonable accuracy.

If puberty has occurred too early or occurred normally in a child who is too short at the beginning of puberty, it is also possible to delay the progress of puberty and delay the maturation of bones to allow the child to grow for a longer time, to reach a better final height
